Nikolai is back to school tomorrow and I have a busy day ahead of me! Remembered I have these containers - seem perfect to meal prep for the birds tomorrow! Bread and mixed veggies are still frozen, so sitting this in the fridge now will mean they should be thawed tomorrow. Then I premade some Higgins Worldly Cuisines and prepped some sweet potatoes and peppers. Should make my next couple mornings a little easier!

Ooh that's so perfect! Now I want that to use to pre portion snacks for work!

This morning was minced chop with pellets added. IMG_20230403_082810.jpg

Dry pellets are always available. (They fling more than they eat!) IMG_20230403_082510.jpg

A measured amount of seeds go in the foraging box each day. (I let the empty husks build up some so they have to look for the seeds.) IMG_20230403_131350.jpg

Evening "chunky chop":

Millet and/or Nutriberries occasionally, but not every day:

My lot got a fair variety today.
Chop, cooked grains/veggies mix, with added rehydrated veggies. Nautilus got some chunky veggies too, cause I feel bad if I don't give him any
This picture doesn't include the chop cause it wasn't for one of mine.

I am hoping my sprouts will be ready for tomorrow too.

I made a new batch of chop today. I'm slowly adjusting the flock from "minced" to somewhat more "chunky".

Also @Wardy 's beautiful sprouts encouraged me to research further and try again. (It's been hit and miss with my attempts)..
This is a basic birdseed mix as an experiment. It has white and red millet, canary seed and red and green oat groats.

So far it's a hit with the birdie-heads which encourages me to take it further with better sprout mixes.

Mine hasn't been very diverse this week so I haven't been taking photos. Basically the frozen veggies mix, broccoli slaw mix, sprouts, and Higgins and/or bird bread.
