Would anyone happen to know if a sun or a jenday is more "likely" to be one sex or the other? Or is there any way to tell the difference?
I think there's no way to visually discern genders for conures only DNAWould anyone happen to know if a sun or a jenday is more "likely" to be one sex or the other? Or is there any way to tell the difference?

Lord I hope I don't get eggs from a 20-something year old bird...Dna test unfortunately i wouldnt be bothered about sex same thing just different bits.
If one lays a egg its female
NOOOOOOOOOBut yeah they 100% can still lay eggs at 20+
Yeah, I think the one that's making my teeth rattle is the jenday. She (total guess, she just strikes me as a female) is like a metal pick to the frontal lobe. The sun is also loud and piercing, but he's not nearly as bad. I feel like my vision vibrates every time the jenday goes off though! The Jenday I'm fostering can make a ungodly screech that rattles our skulls, the Blue Crowned is almost as bad and she goes off every time she sees us eating or one of us gets home. She is also quite good at hanging on the side of her cage and projectile pooping. Pippen has her moments but most of the time her screams just aren't as loud and jolting. Poor Dobby just sits there like what are you yahoos on about now though occasionally he joins in with the Pionus KACK KACK KACK!!!
I wasnt going to tell herBut yeah they 100% can still lay eggs at 20+
I don't know how much my observations are worth yetXoetix, I think you should add your observations to the conure good-bad-ugly threads.
Killed me thatDay One: They shoot poop, and can get some decent distance on it. Also, the sounds may make your eyes bleed.
I'll take my Casey's screaming tantrums over his contact calls any day of the week.the Blue Crowned is almost as bad and she goes off every time she sees us eating or one of us gets home.
Yeah... My Rio does thatUpdate - Did y'all know conures can projectile poop?
I didn't.
