YOU STILL HAVEN'T SPILLED?!?!
Of course not! This is much too fun!YOU STILL HAVEN'T SPILLED?!?!
More clues will come when the time gets closer. I will admit I've told one extra person since I started this thread, cause they were helping me with a few things. Not everyone would make a good detective. Have a little mercy on the rest of us!
You're kinda on the right track, this bird does fall under the Old world umbrella!I'm going to venture another guess, having consulted the list of parrot species on Wikipedia. This is totally unscientific. I don't quite understand the clues. So, I just thought to myself, 'What kind of parrot might Aussiebird want?', bearing in mind the need for a DNA test & what other species AB houses. On account of the latter, I knocked off all the New World species... though that may prove to be a mistake, given that I don't know about what housing options are available.
Here's my list!
- Hooded Parrot
- Scarlet-Chested Parrot
- Australian King Parrot
- Superb Parrot
- Eclectus
- Cockatiel
- Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo
Tip for people guessing: No big birds (cockatoo, Macaw, etc.)
For those curious as to why I am going with a breeder, I have never once seen one of these bird come up in a rescue and only once did I see someone rehoming (a breeding pair). ETA: I have also seen one for sale in a petshop now.
This maybe counts as a hint??Summits
Is there a certain reason you want to know if it’s a he/she head colour maybe
Hmmm... what if I said no?
There has not been a correct guess on this thread yet. (With the exception of NEVRM0RE_ I did not/have not unraveled that first guess )
Other things to note:You're kinda on the right track, this bird does fall under the Old world umbrella!
Mmmm maybeMaybe just maybe a Sierra parakeet?
