Please, please, pray that we can get our Green Cheek Conure, Fiddle. The door was open and he flew out. He is in a tall pine tree out back. My hubby sees him but cannot get to him.

Please Please Pray. He looks like he wants to get down, but doesn't not know how. This is the first time we have seen him fly!

My heart is breaking.

We have Banjo, our Peach Front out back to call to him as well as his cage. I cannot help because I broke my leg a few weeks ago.

I am so sorry. My KeeWee flew out the door a couple weeks ago, and I found him in a tree. I coaxed him down with water, he was so thirsty being outside in the heat.

Okay,

You need to get his cage outside ASAP. You also need to bring Banjo out in his cage or in a carrier to give Fiddle some sense of direction and some courage. Wave some of his favorite treats and call him. Praise him when he starts down.

If he's not up too high you can maybe spray him with the hose so that he cannot fly to far and then get a ladder and go up to get him.

Ginger Banjo is out, we have treat and we have him sighted. We are trying to locate an extsion ladder right now.

I forgot to say don't "shoot" him with the hose. Spray over his head and let it "rain" down on him.

Lots of prayers coming that he comes down from the tree. Glad that you know where he is at! Hopefully by having his buddy out in his cage that will help reassure him on how to come back down.

Can you put chairs outside and just act like your having a good time with Banjo. Do something normal. Running around might be scaring him.

Ladder located and hubby up in the tree. He is about 3 feet away and Fiddle won't budge. Pray that the tree branches hold up and hubby doesn't fall. One broken leg in the family is enough!

if he does, then a mop/broom handle extended gently toward him might work for him to step up on and bridge the gap

Can hubby take the hose up and wet him down BEFORE he tried to get him???? Worried about Fiddle trying to fly away again...but wet he can't do a good job too far...

Does he come to you when he sees you eating? If so, go outside and sit there eating something you know he loves, preferably something from a noisy packet that he'd know the sound of or scrape cutlery on a plate. Wishing you lots of luck.
