Your birds are beautiful. Are they difficult to keep?
I have hummingbirds around my house now, and your birds look similar. I love hummingbirds... :dancing:

PS: I noticed the comments about beans. I always buy the dried ones and cook the whole package. I then put them on a cookie sheet (lined with a silicone mat) to freeze. Then I put them in bags and take out as needed. No salt..and much cheaper than canned.

They need a large cage or aviary, they love to bathe, and need a softbill diet{low iron,low vit C}, nectar, fresh fruit, insects.
The plant is still doing well. I have to take it out occasionally to clean it up a bit..lol.

Do they play or bathe in the plant? Or tried to make a nest out of the plant?

No on all three counts. I have heard of some making a nest in them though. I got the idea from info that said they do better with plants in their aviary. A girl who was on the old forum had a pair of yellow legged honeycreepers, she also hung a plant in hers. Hers did sleep in the plant. Mine do hang on it, and poop on it..lol.. :o:

How did I ever miss this thread!! Carole are there any other colors apart from yellow and red legged creepers? Are all males just blue like Mr Jeepers and females green like Jada?

Females are all green, though if you look close..there are lots of shades or variants to the color. The male yellow legged is a gorgeous color purple and black. There is a larger honeycreeper, simply called the 'green'. They do not play well with their smaller cousins, and if kept in the same flight will kill them.

I looked up the purple creeper and it was really pretty. I think Mr Jeepers is still my favourite kind of creeper though :heart:

Carole's interesting flock has introduced us to some birds we would not have known about. She has a diverse group of birds for sure and they are so delightful to see.
