I added this very neat plant to the honeycreeper's cage yesterday. And an extra light.
It is in the ficus family, called a curly fig.

Thank you Houston. I think once they get over their apprehension, they will soon find it a fun place to bathe.:D

I also added an extra air filter, a peace plant.:cool1:

Wow! They will like the plant. It looks so nice in the cage. Will they eat on it? Also they may try to nest in it.

Thanks everyone.:) I just thought it was so pretty, and since in the ficus family should be very safe. No activity near it, but they seem like they are loving the extra foliage.

How sweet. Would you put a nest hanging from it? I hope one day they breed for you.

That would be awesome. Thank you.:hug8: Since they have two nests, I don't think I would add more. If they nested in it I don't think that would be good. The plant might die from not getting watered.
Susanne I don't think they will eat it.

One of those glass globes/balls that hold water may be the trick to keep it watered. Or if a pan can be attached under it, water can be put in it.

Hmmmm....I didn't think my mousers would eat my Noni plant in their cage....

I just went out to give the mousers some more food, and missed a great shot :( The male was on top of the Noni, and feeding the female. He had nibbled from the plant and then she chittered for him to give her some.

The males have been doing their hopping (looks like jumping beans, going up and down) for the females. And one expectant male has an impression in the moss, on a hanging nest I put up. So hopefully....

Thank you. They are really small and cute, and they seem very healthy.:) Jada is my little escape artist...all she needs is barely an inch.

Mr Jeepers looks electric under that light. They must have taken 3-4 baths yesterday. Then sat up under the light. The light is a T-5, 30" with a 10,000K & a Colormax{pink} bulb.
