YesDo you mean as adults when they get extremely long tails.
Yes, they fly amazingly well and fastYes long tails! Not as much as an alex, but still very long. The longest feathers are at the centre of the tail. With my plumhead his tail has been getting longer each molt, but only his two white tipped -extra long- feathers.
The IRN tail is as long as their body from top of head to tail base. This helps them have fast and controlled flightThey are pretty speedy little parrots.
Pictures provided for cute factor as well as tail positions

As he gets stronger and adult muscle start to fill in he will go even faster! He will probably mostly grow to his adult stature in his first year and it will take about another year for him to fully develop his buff little flight muscles. This is part of why it is SO important for young parrots to get to fly. My tiny plumhead can definitely fly faster than I can run.Yes, they fly amazingly well and fastI always get fascinated by how fast Zazu flies after me and reaches me when I go to another room
