How is Chester doing?

Chester, my lil' budgie is spending the night at the vets. She had previously been diagnosed with Ovarian/ Reproductive tract cancer, and had 6 cc's of clearish fluid drained today from her uterus. She's on antibiotics and is stable, but one thing I forgot to ask the vet is if this cancer is painful, and if we are doing her more harm than good keeping her with us. I'm really worried that she is in pain.

Chester lost her battle with cancer around 4pm Sunday. I held her for her last breaths, she looked at me, flapped her wings, shuddered, and left. I love her so much and admired her valiant nature. Her cancer was aggressive, we all thought she would leave us in July but she managed to make it until late September. I will be posting a memorial thread in the correct forum sometime soon. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your cyberhugs and your support through Chester's illness. She is with her bonded friend Beckie now, and I hope they are happy forever flying free together. When she passed and all of her fluids left her body you could clearly see how much the cancer was getting to her, I've never seen a bird so thin who ate and slept so much. I'm so glad she's not in pain and went so quickly.
