Good evening,
My name is Maria and I’m a owner of a 1 year old Quaker parrot named yoshi. Yoshi had an accident and I took him to the vet. Vet discovered that Yoshi dislocated his right wing. He said to wait two weeks for him to place his wing back to its original position. he suggested to put yoshi in a sock to maintain the wings in its position and prevent more damage. If anyone has an suggest what to do or has been in a similar situation. Let me know

@Staff maybe this should go in the help section?

I would get a second opinion! Time is crucial for reducing subluxations.

Hmm I'm not a vet but waiting 2 weeks to put a joint back in place seems really painful! Did you get any pain medications for the poor guy?

I'm not even sure who to tag in this case.

I would get a second opinion pronto.
Leaving the wing out can cause significant friction of the joint- causing further inflammation and potentially more damage. A sock? that is not a very scientific approach. I would be leaning towards vetwrap at the very least to ensure it is secure.
