Wow, my first thread in macaw motorway!! Dream comes true!
It's nearly 36 hours my hahns Pestaa( pistachio) is home. He's unusually quiet, very much hand shy and still not showing any interest in most of the foods I offered. He's only eating guava slices. Obviously, I can't force him... I'm just offering him lots of varieties. His previous owner said, he was an aviary bird and prefers sprouts, nuts and fruits. So, he must be missing his aviary friends. One good thing, he's chewing his toys and perch, preening himself also. Yesterday I sat in front of him and sang few songs. He was eyeing me suspiciously but thankfully no aggression. What I think, it'll be a long journey for me to achieve his friendship.
