Nothing but time heals, but as you've said, being here where everyone understands your pain and loss, definately helps.
I'm glad this site has offered comfort.

I finally thought I was getting through this. Today is laundry and clean house today and I missed so much, talking to him and the way he watched me, climbing out of his cage to give me kisses. It's like the healing wound was ripped wide open today and all I have been able to is cry my heart out.

Grief is not linear for sure! I saw this a few years ago and really identified with it. I just cried big ugly tears a couple weeks ago about my cat who passed away in 2018. Nothing will ever totally take it away, but it happens less frequently. :hug8:

It's going g to hurt for a while then you'll start to be able to remember the good things with a smile but yes, sometimes a thought will still trigger sadness:bluhug:

@Mizzely Thank you for that post. I don't know if this will make much sense, however, it does help me to understand why I am feeling this way. I guess in a way, I was afraid my pain and grief wasn't normal and I felt a little scared about those feelings. Thank you all for staying with me during this journey.
