I’ve never been into forums or known how to use them but I’m in need a budgie community!
As a little girl, my first budgie was Pete -we never figured out how but he escaped.
But 20++ years later I could never get past my budgie love, and my now husband sneakily arranged for me to meet Winston,I’m Hilary, and my boy is Winston(/Win/Winnie/Winnipeg/Peggy), my little squeaky beak (one of his new favourite phrases).

Win is about 6 - 8 months old. Unfortunately I didn’t get an accurate birthdate.
I’m strongly considering getting him a friend. He’s happy enough, we’ll trained of course, and very well looked after, but I want him to be really happy.
It’s a really tough decision - whether to keep a solo healthy bird who gets a lot of attention - or find him a friend! If I did get him a friend, I’d be tempted to get a hen so that the chance they would mate and breed one day is there. I’m basically really keen to discuss this and all things budgies.
