Hope little Higgins is okay <3
Hi guys, thank you for checking up on us! He ate his breakfast this morning and I saw him drink a lot of water. I'm kind of worried because its supposed to be really hot out today, and I don't know how he'll react to the heat. I'll offer him plenty of water.
He is still a bit poofed up, but moving around a lot more. He was screaming with cookie this morning. I picked him him to check on the area I'm worried about and it looks about the same. Its not getting worse, and it doesn't look better, but at least he's *acting* better.
His breathing was really fast and different while I was checking him over, but I suspect that was also because I was restraining him (very gently of course) and lifting up his long feathers to see his skin.

Oh Emily, I'm soo sorry to hear about little Higgins... I must have missed this thread yesterday.

How are things going Emily?? It sounds like he is doing a little bit better
He does seem to be acting better! watching him today his poops are a little runny but otherwise normal. He's not sitting poofed up as much anymore, and he's eting and drinking. I just checked on the injured area, and IT does not look much better. I have just looked, not touched, i am too scared to hurt him. He just has to be okay through tomnight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night and then he can see the vet.

If he gets any worse, I'd take him straight to the vet - with or without an appointment. I'd certainly hope they wouldn't send you away if you turn up on their doorstep with an injured bird!
