Thank you so much, everyone. It means so much to know that other bird lovers
understand the joy and the pain of having and losing these wonderful companions.
I wish they could fly free before they go over the Rainbow Bridge, but we do
the best we can to keep them safe and show them love.
My daughter lost her dog this week, and I wish I could comfort her the way you have
all comforted me. I got tears again, reading what you have all posted, and remembering
Lovey sitting on my knee while I watched concerts on my PC, having her shred paper and make
her favorite spot under my desk, hearing her thump, thump thump, coming down the hallway, so
funny with that long tail, and saying, "Hello!" in her lades' voice.
She always came out when my husband was in the kitchen she knew he would have FOOD!
She loved watermelon and begged for potato chips (he had to hide them) and peanut butter on
toast.....
And what fun it was to teach her to like baths from a spray bottle! While she threw water everywhere.
I think she liked scaring the cats~ their life is pretty boring now, the other birds don't chase them.
