Is what you mean that your bird has trouble keeping it still because the one I got is a little heavy, so eating off it isn't too hard.
No she doesnt like anything that moves to much she is curious but far to nervy, i have moved all of her toys against her cage bars now after speaking to Shawna and that is helping but scewers tend to not work with her by the time she decides to look at it its time for it to come out.
She will get tbere though she has dabled with them but hasnt for a while and wont.

Mojo likes to move her not chop around her cage to snack on later, i then clear it from all her platform perches before bed.
Tonight i spotted this :nocomment:

I spotted this tonight she has started hiding it in her toy box :faint: i have been cleaning food out from the bottom every day for weeks and just thought she had dropped bits into it.

Parsnip is something i havent tried
He is not big on carrots but likes parsnip for some reason! It was one of those "what can I buy just one of?" purchases

Even though Bebe is not a macaw I have found he loves his kale whole and floating in his bath.. If you dice it into strips they are great for playing toss around the cage. But whole he will nibble until it sinks in his tub.

I have started giving the girls less Not Chop now.
20221204_155359.jpg
I have had to split the amount i was originally feeding so i can feed twice a day as they get quite vocal if there is no fresh food in there cage during the day.

Two happy girls getting there second bowl of not chop.

Ripley's bowl today: curly parsley, sweet potato, daikon radish, parsnip, jalapeno, a blueberry, and a multigrain melody (brown rice, flaxseed, red quinoa, and chia seeds).

sweet potato,
How do you prepare this Shawna ?

Are you giving Ripley fruit every day with his not chop ?
We dont feed fruit daily maybe once or twice a week, it does seem that if we give some fruit in there not chop they eat less of it.

He doesn't really eat fruit except apples occasionally, but I only try a couple times a week to get some fruit in there.

I microwave these smaller sections for about 1 minute until it just starts to soften :)
