My cockatiel Coco 5 months old has his wing dropping and is really sleepy. His wing was like this earlier today so we took him to a vet and they said it was due to an abnormal blood feather so they pulled it out and then he was looking good again. About 20 minutes ago though he was walking around like normal and then he dropped his wing again. He is still eating and drinking water but he’s not as active as he usually is.

Has your bird flown into anything recently?
Did the vet talk about an X-ray?

No he hasn’t flown into anything. The vet didn’t say anything about an X-ray either. As of this morning the wing is back in place and he’s acting like his usually self again.

Maybe he had another broken feather that was bothering him? Idk, but I’m glad he seems better!

Maybe he was favoring the wing due to the blood feather issue? Just watch his little feathered butt..hope hes better!
