I have an amazon that has gotten sick, I brought it to a vet which he prescribed some antibiotics and something that strengthens the Immune system, I think it is vitamin supplements, that has a garlic smell and taste. Do you think it is safe?
Garlic does have immune properties. Hopefully a veterinarian would only prescribe a safe product.
If your parrot isn't good at eating veggies or pellets they often have low vitamins especially vitamin A. Thise nutrients are linked with supporting immune health and especially respiratory health.
Offer some cooked mashed sweet potatoes served warm. Often parrot take to that quickly. And is great source of vitamin A. As are peppers. Yellow /orange/ red bell pepper and even the less ripe green ones.
