How do I post a question?
I have never been a member of any forums online before.
I am using a mobile version of your site.
My female cockatiel is bleeding red / liquid blood from her vent. All the vets are closed. This has happens 2 times before in the last 12 months. and she was absolutely fine next day.
I want to post my question to the people on this site-
Thanks

I see you’ve managed to work out posting your own thread :)
We suggest only making the one thread for each topic so all answers to that issue are kept in one place, makes it easier for you and for others who are helping or may learn from your situation.

How do I open a separate thread?
Or do I have to ask a question in pre- existing ones?
Thanks

We generally recommend one thread per topic.
If you have a second topic you want answers for then definitely open up a new thread in the relevant forum section. If you can’t decide which section then post where ever and a moderator will move it for you :)

Hello, all members.
Came here for advice and knowledge based on experience.
I have 3 cockatiels.
2 of them are my “ old babies” .
My oldest, Charlie is 18. His “ son”, Freckles is 15. He was born in the palm of my hand, literally out of the egg.
My female cockatiel is relatively new- she is only 3 years old- I bought her from a private pet store.
She is bleeding from her vent. The blood is bright red. Some droppings mixed with feces.
This is 4 th time it’s happening to her in last 2 years.
Can anyone surmise what the reason may be?
No, she is Not egg- bound. I personally checked.
this happens every 3-4 months.
First time it happened I took her to emergency avian vet in Manhattan-$1,500 later they could not tell me what was wrong with her!
Next day- her poops were absolutely fine!

it just happened again.30 min ago.
I don’t know what to do
Any advice or insight- please?

kind regards to all,
Tatiana

This is the same topic as the thread that is already up so we won’t make a new thread or you’ll have questions and answers in too many places for it to be easy to find and refer to.
Our members are from all over the world so sometimes we need to wait a little bit for answers unfortunately.
With any luck you’ll get some helpful answers soon.
