Hey!
So I recently bought my budgies a natural cork perch which they are loving. I’m interested to try and make them myself as it seems far cheaper to buy the natural cork wood pieces themselves.
Does anyone have any advice on how to add the fixtures to the wood and how to make sure it’s safe?
Thank you in advance!

I really easily screwed a hanger bolt into a lump of cork to make a perch for my budgie which apparently is not to be trusted lol. The material was soft enough that I was able to screw the bolt in by hand. I’ve found balsa to be similar
