Hey guys! I joined a week or two ago and can’t remember if I introduced myself but I don’t think I did.
Hi! I’m Ori, I have a dog (A Pekingese +Shih Tzu + Maltese + Yorkshire terrier mix) named Ozzie, a Roborovski hamster named Ink Blot, two rats named Cookie and Chippi, and two female zebra finches named Will and Arlo. My dream bird is an Eclectus Parrot. I love hanging out with my animals, and cooking. I love this forum so much, and everyone seems so nice, so thank you everyone and I hope to see you around!

It's probably worth some time thinking about how to make sure you never need to discover that your dog does have a prey drive after all before you let a new friend join you outside of a cage

Of course! I never will let my birds be with my dog outside of the cage,and when I let my dog with my rats it is always highly supervised and I am very careful.

Lucky. My dogs have really high prey drive. We cant even let a cat within 5 feet of them without them trying to hunt it >.<
Thus is why my bird always comes out after the dogs are kenneled for the night, while they are napping from 12:00 - 3:00, or when I wake up before they get let out at 9:00
