Moving in
Hello everyone!
My husband and I are researching Green Cheek Conures and maybe getting one, one day. I have had two cockatiels when I was growing up and was telling our 9 year old son about them. He has been interested in the birds ever since.
We went to Petco the other day to pick up dog food for our boxer and then walked over to see if they had any cockatiels. They did not. However, they did have a pineapple conure and a green conure. What was neat about it was that two associates that worked there had them one their shoulders while they were working the store. They conures seemed so comfortable with them and did not mind them petting or scratching the birds heads. I had always wondered if Petco actually handled them, even tho the sign on their cages said hand fed.
We did find a breeder in north Georgia that we might contact when we are ready. We could not find a breeder in Jacksonville
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and I am trying to learn as much as I can from reading others posts on here.
