Hi community!
New member here looking into breeders for an African Grey.
I found this guy a few months ago and he seems legit, but I wanted to see if anyone here us bought from him before?

Yeah, they seem legit from what I’ve gathered. I requested a video call and they said they were okay with it so we’ll see! They’re just so many scams right now that I just wanna be cautious

Yes, I could read some of them. I scrolled down to read them though, the links were not working.

I looked up the phone number and it did pop up on a classified website with an ad for a pair of breeding birds in Minnesota 4 years ago it looks like. All their information stacks up but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing

Is there an address?
A breeder with all those different species of birds should have some buildings. Satellite images might help.
I found 3 bird breeders in West Saint Paul, MN 55118, none are him. I even googled his name 'Alexander James' and found nothing.

He's been on Facebook and Birdbreeders.com since 11/3/2022. And says he's been breeding 20 years?
Don't send money unless you can visit and verify it's legit.

Hm, that looks like it checks out then. I’m suppose to do a video call with him one of these days to check out his aviary and the bird I’m thinking about buying from him.

neaviary.com phone number and address on the website also call him he showed me the parrot on a video call on WhatsApp he has Amazon parrot about 8 baby but i was looking for african greys pair baby about under 5k

Turns out, he was legit! We FaceTimed and he showed me his aviary, I used PayPal to be safe since I could get my money back if it was a scam. Quetzal came to us nice and safe!

I've never purchased from this breeder, but he's local to my area (Minnesota) and has attended local bird fairs in the past.

I've had some conversations with him in the distant past about adopting older birds from him.
