Please take little Fifi to the Vet as soon as possible, until then I have attached recommendations to take care of sick birds. It is natural to think that Fifi has the same illness but there is a chance that it is treatable.

Please do not assume you know what this is. It could be many things, only testing will tell. PBFD will show up in a test. PDD will not, but would have shown in a necropsy for your other bird. A necropsy is inexpensive. Please take your bird to the vet today.

Do so hope you managed to get to your Vet quickly for the help your bird needs desperately NOW. They are not sick for too long and time is of the essence. If anything can be done for your bird it must be now. Good luck and do let us know how you both are.

It's your job to get her to the vet right away. Why are you waiting? The longer you wait the more probably it will not be a good outcome. She needs you to be there for her since she can't take herself.

I know you are probably very distraught just thinking what happened before is happening again and you dread going through it all again. That's understandable because just the thought of it hurts. But this is Fifi, not Gizmo and she should be given a chance as well. If it were me and I was feeling this way I'd relinquish her to the vet so she might have a chance. I would feel I owed it to both my birds.

Ok .. I'm confused.

You're saying you had another bird who died, and this bird is showing similar symptoms .. is there a reason why you're not taking this bird to the vet?

Did you have necropsy to find out what your other bird died from? Necropsy are so very important, esp. when there are other birds in the house.

I know if one of my birds was ill, I would not be wasting precious time on a forum talking about it, I'd be in my car on the way to the vet ASAP.

This is heartbreaking. I hope you do the right thing and bring your bird to the vet NOW. One vet visit isnt thousands of dollars. He may only have some kind of infection that needs an antiboitic. Please dont let your bird suffer.

If the worst possible thing does happen, and she passes.

Please let us know how the state of play is today with your bird. Is there something you are not telling us that is stopping you from seeing a vet? Be as good a mum as you can for your bird and seek help for it please. We are worrying for you both.
