You can also make perches for them with safe types of tree branches outside!I agree with my colleagues about gender.
Suggestion: replace those dowel perches with perches of varying widths that replicate tree branches. They are commonly available in shops or on line. The dowel perches do not provide exercise for the feet which can cause bumblefoot.
