This forum is for advice about initial treatment given to your injured/sick bird until a qualified avian veterinarian is available. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE VET CARE
Thanks again guys! she had her first tube feeding earlier and she took it, didnt like it but she took it. hasnt changed much i forgot to ask if they ran the tests i will when the doctor calls i only got to talk to a vet tech. Birdbabe- i dont have any plants she could have eaten and she wouldnt come out of her cage so i dont think she ate anything strange. Should i scrub down her cage? im just so worried lol
Thanks again you guys so heres the update- Shes doing much better, perching, eating, drinking, still tube feeding and in an incubator but doing good! her poop is getting better and better! im so happy shes doing better!
No changes she's still perching less puffy and less shivering. Still being tube fed no interest in food and but I guess that's normal because of the tube feeding. The blood work will be back tomorrow hopefully and if things are normal with that and they don't have to change the meds hopefully I can bring her home wensday or Thursday. All depends on if the blood work is okay though
no improvments today still wont eat by herself still being tube fed. the blood work will hopefully be in tomorrow.. if the blood work is fine what could be wrong with her? i honestly feel like its my fault from taking her from her old home
Its not your fault sweety What ever is wrong probably was a underlying prombem.. I read where you said she had an unhealthy diet before. You rescued her! You're getting her better! We are thankful for you <3
