My baby Romeo is around 2 and whenever I take him out of his cage he buries his beak in my hand and digs away like a cat/dog. He also regurgitates sometimes? Has any one else had this happen? Thanks a bunch :cag:

My yellow side grew cheek does the same... I move away before the food comes back to his mouth ...I thought mine was not normal. This is a relief to see someone else with this issue.

My macaw likes to dig & scratch in blankets, but thankfully doesn't "feed" them. I call him my big, blue chicken. :wacky:

Whenever my mom sees him doing that she’s like, “is that a parrot or a chicken?”

I’m glad my quirky bird could provide you some relief :lol:This forum is great for quick questions about birds, everyone is so knowledgeable. But I believe that the reason they do that is a mix of wild behavior (digging) and showing their affection (regurgitation).
