Hello everyone.
Few weeks ago i noticed black feathers near Tweety's beak.
He's growing his balck ring now but I'm concerned about his feathers overall.
He's molting and has no tail now, i provide him a variety of vegetables and fruits besides Tropical pellet.
I think he's getting his big boy feathers and as i guess it's a hard molt and takes time and effort.

How long does this molt last? Besides it's very warm in here
When i searched about this through the internet, most of male IRNs have heavy molt during this stage and it seems take a long to fully changed to an adult feathers

Also Tweety's a Grizzle mountain ^^*

During a normal molt a bird shouldn't lose all their tail feathers. They can drop them for a variety of reasons but if they have no tail feathers it's due to something else (fright, caught on something, etc).

It can take several weeks to a few months for a big molt from start to finish.

Yes i see. His tail wasn't in a good condition anyway.
I saw few new tail feathers started to grow, hopefully he will get a good healthy tail by the end of molting
