If I ever somehow were given a choice between macaws, I really think I’d go for a scarlet or one of the red hybrids. That color is just… beyond reality.

But I think I want a B&G personality

Her name is Sakie. She is 66 years old.

My hybrid is VERY scarlet. Greenwing size and scarlet attitude.

Oh wow I never would have guessed that is what cataracts in parrots look like. I had a blind lovebird but her cataracts looked like clouds. All really gorgeous, and looks like they know it.

Scarlets have been my favorite Macaw species since I was 5 and lets just say its been a long while now that Ive adored them lol

After we had our b&g's I had a chance to get a green wing but refused because the size of his beak terrified me. He kept wanting to step up and I was like "no no no".

That's why I'm searching for a mini Mac (till now, no luck)... They are big macaws in small body

Same I have never interacted hands on with a big guy, I think I could get over the beak size but I mean, my mini macaw easily ripped a piece of wood from a cabinet, I don’t want to know what a Big Mac would have done! Plus I am not so sure I could handle a pissed of macaw. My mini sometimes flies at me to attack, that’s enough for me I don’t need the same behaviour from a bird thrice his size

I had this exact scenario happen yesterday It certainly is not fun- hoping with all my might that today is a better day lol
