About to lay an egg?!

Yickes..........praying for Biscuit!
She appears to be egg bound. They are keeping her overnight in an incubator and she's getting fluids and nutrients. They are watching to see if she can pass the egg, but if she gets worse, etc. they are going to dissolve the egg.
She is also Vitamin A deficient, so we'll have to deal with that.
Please keep us in your thoughts. I am so worried.

I'm so sorry Kacy. Good for you for getting her there so quickly -- you've done what you can and now she is in good hands I'm sure

I agree with what Kathie has said. You did good getting her in so quick! She'll be just fine. Sending lots of positive strength for you and Biscuit.

Kacy, my Farfey was egg bound and my Vet did the same exact thing your Vet is doing. They put her in an incubator overnight and she passed the egg the next morning. The same will happen for Biscuit

Both birds are so hormonal this year! I wonder why. Biscuit has only laid one egg, and that was close to 4 years ago. And this season, we've got eggs. And Rocco is very hormonal as well. Weird.
