God is good!
I didn’t do anything! My branch head had heard the bird story too and she said I could escort them tomorrow. That was before I called the parents and got the wonderful news! I’m so glad I was able to get their contact information today from their neighbor in a different building on base. guy I’d never met.Sharoj you are a treasure!
What wonderful news!!!!!Ozzie is home! I called the parents and they said that just before the gates closed at 5 pm, she landed on a small tree near a picnic table. They called him and he stood up on the picnic table and got her down! They have also a ruby macaw and a jenday conure. I had called both husband and wife and they both called me back. Seems the wife hadn’t shut the door all the way and the dog pushed it open and out she went!
The couple each called me back but didn't mention clipping. I think they are too experienced to clip just for a freak accidental escape. So at 4 pm, the I went down to check on her, the small bunch of people standing at her last location told me she flew thataway. So Ozzie flew out of the base into an adjoining business who had been notified about her. When they heard her talking in the tree, they called Mike and Cindy the parents. It took 45 minutes of Mike standing up on the picnic table under a low tree where she had landed, to coax her down. The business closes at 5 pm and they lock the gates. Mike said exactly on the nose at 5, Ozzie finally stepped down to him!Yay, so glad she's safe and back home! God is good. I hope she clipped his wings at least. Mine are all fully flighted so I get not wanting to clip too.how was she lured down?
