URGENT how to get Ozzie amazon down from tall tree?- Update- Home Safe

Her owners aren't allowed on the navy base but had special permission for a couple of hours. police came, roads were closed bucket truck took the dad up high but the hard hat scared Ozzie. Anyway now a Good Samaritan who works on base is spending her day playing the mom's voice on her phone over and over. Ozzie tries to feed it. Pictures not allowed on base. They have a travel cage and pellets but no go. I suggested recording their other bird so the Good Samaritan has texted the mom for it. Any ideas? I have a ton of work to do today but can go check the nearby tree now and then. There's a hawk and an osprey stalking Ozzie.

No have to wear the hat. Everyone has left but Ozzie. Still up in a terribly windy tree. I have to go back in now

Can they just sit Ozzies regular cage on the ground near the tree with water and food bowls? Maybe put a recorder under it that keeps playing his parronts voices???

Does Ozzie have a buddy? If so, try taking his buddy over (caged obviously) and see if he'll come down for him. That was how I caught Loki (gcc) when she got away. I put Beni in a travel cage and had him outside calling for her.

Lots and lots of favorite treats (like a huge bowl of almonds or something)? Something that he could see and be visually drawn to from that far away. Maybe keep too many strangers away; he might not want to fly to a bunch of strangers and only his "parents."

Not sure if this would be allowed but any chance you can get people with a few other 'zons to put them in their travel cages and bring them over so that Ozzie's parents can have a little flock of 'zons? Ozzie might want to check out what the hubbub is if he sees his family and some other birds who look like him.

Ugh that sucks. Poor Ozzie. I hope he flies down. This happened to a friend of mine not long ago with a macaw. She went up in the bucket truck and snatched him out of the tree clipping his wings on the way down.

He won't be able to fly straight down so whoever is there will have to stand far enough away that he can fly down at a gradual angle. Bring his favourite noisy snack that you (or parents) can rattle the packaging.

problem is Ozzie's parents are not allowed on base. The lady who was texting her mom is not there now and I didn't think to get her number from the lady.

It was really windy when Pistachio got out, my husband jingled his shiny keys as high as he could and 'Stachi worked his way down a few branches until hubby could reach him.

OR ask if there is anyone on base who has a bird and might be willing to help? Ozzie might come down if he hears another bird like him.
