Session 2 report
He got it with the clicker!!! He stays put on them and the treats keep on coming! I'm so pleased! Thanks Sarah!

Don't take Kailua's hesitation as fear. If she was scared I would not ask for her to step up on them. We would spend more time doing treats around them if she was scared. Jojo does not have to be ready in one day. If he is not yet associating the session with the skates as treat time, go back to just putting treats around them for a few more sessions.

I'm glad she's not scared of them! She's very smart, I expect in the next couple of sessions you'll be posting videos of her on the skates!

I can't get my male cockatoo to do anything with a ball but throw it. I've even gone to creative measures and decided it just wasn't his thing.

Well, the FTb skates are here, but too big wouldn't you say? They roll great!
What do you think of the size? JoJo is sitting on the pw skates for ages gobbling treats. They do roll but not as well. What's our next step? Or should we continue treating while standing on the pw skates for one more day? He just started doing that this morning.

JoJo's form is terrible, he steps with both feet on one skate! I'm not sure how to correct it? He stays put because the whole time on the skates he is regurgitating. He does it an awful lot on the skates. Nothing comes out but he gags. This is even on an empty stomach. While doing the rings he doesn't regurgitate.

Is he solid enough on stepping up to only reward if his feet are split? If not I can correct this with other means but try to correct it with rewards.

He did marginally better today . he keeps regurgitating non stop. I'll post a short snip tonight.

he totally ignores step up, which he associates with interrupting playtime to go back in the cage, so I'm saying "get on". How are we ever going to train him with all that regurg going on?
