Penny is in her cage for reason. Hope to quell her fear & to only have her out when she is comfortable & we are on equal grounds. I don't want to chance any negative feelings so I have been patient & I think its better to err on the side of caution & make out time a reward & something positive. There's the pretty bird out of her cage!!! So beautiful!

I think her first owner really understood keeping a hawkhead so I am trying my best to do the same.
Oh yes I was aware of letting her get accustomed, I was just happy to see her. So pretty!
What a beautiful bird. View attachment 276728
Yep, I realize she's a Hawkhead, just saying she acts a lot like a well adjusted Pionus. She seems like a joy to be around and should be your friend for the rest of her life. Thanks, very happy with her progress. She's got a steady personality..not skittish.
Penny is a hawkhead not a pionus.
She seems fine with me...Stepped up twice onto my arms & twice onto a perch...
Really happy about that!!!
