This fool tried to give me a heart attack recently, lol. Heather actually got it to leave by annoying the you know what out of it - tapping on the glass until it was like "omg, lady!, you are an awful landlord/roomie. I'm out"

Argiope Aurantia? Orb weaver, also called the yellow and black garden spider, or the writing spider.. whatever it is , it's beautiful!

I don't mind sharing more of my buggy pix but that first cicada is my only entry.

Here goes! A couple more of the cicada actually having hatched. The butterflies were taken at the butterfly conservatory in Key West and the beautiful moth was taken outside our hotel during our trip back from Texas for a family gathering.

Beautiful photo though I have to admit that I'm very leery of furry caterpillars - they usually sting like all get out if you accidentally touch one.

In fact what I like about the conservatory was that they had birds there too - diamond doves, the obvious flamingos, and button quail as well as finches (I think?).

Thank you! I'd like to think I saw more of the creatures in the butterfly conservatory than others did because some people just walked straight through it and some let their kids run rampant ... I am definitely getting too old.
