Saroj, I checked the Description of the finished on my Freedom Cage and it is called Brushed stainless steel.
I guess that explains the lack of water spots.:D

a plain, clean microfiber cloth is very good for buffing water spots off stainless. :)

I know that when I was shopping for a stainless steel fridge, the preference was Brushed Stainless steel so I wouldn't spend every minute of the day wiping it down.

Are water spots normal for SS cages?

yes, I have a playstand with a stainless pan, you have to towel dry or you'll end up buffing out water spots. How bad it is will depend on the water in your area. I don't have to wipe as many spots off from use since I fill the cups with filtered water, but I have to be careful after I wash it.

Im located in the rainiest place on earth...well.... maybe in the states:o:

What exactly does "Brushed SS" mean? Sorry if I dont understand..

And I wonder if John does this with his cages? Or would do it for someone's cage, and I wonder what the price would be...

polished would have a mirror shine to it, brushed has a duller look to it.
Also instead of a smooth surface brushed SS will have a textured look and feel to it, like a paint brush leaves behind.

Trouts right. Brushed is the way to go. Polished looks nice if you don't touch it.

After four months of waiting, I'm back looking for a couple new cages.:sad7:

That is one thing I dont like about SS. My SS fridge shows every finger print and water spot.
