Congrats on your new baby! I have two Alex's, one male and one female. Both were DNA sexed. :)
My male is one year old and he's talking like crazy

Been following this thread very closely as I also am on Tom's list for a male Alex & he mentioned there only being one other person on his list a few weeks back when we 1st spoke. That must be you :D So I was compelled to join the forum & the fun!! So I guess we will have brother birds at some point :highfive:. I definitely share your enthusiasm! plus your sooo on the ball with what's happening I can just follow this instead of bugging Tom :hehe:

Congrats to the two of you. They most certainly are beautiful birds and make wonderful companions.

Thanks!! I'm definitely excited! And I just got news today about an hour ago that the 1st Alex has hatched so hopefully there will be more to come!! HE has 2 pair so hopefully that'll mean 6-10 baby Alex's.
If anyone is in the market for a Alex I can't stress how good of a guy Tom is as a breeder & from m y experience the Alex's are not very easy to find.
@Myrka, hope you don't mind me commenting on your thread. As soon as I know Tom def has a baby for me & starts sending me pictures of him I plan on starting my own thread ;)

Very sad to hear that Marina. Let's just hope it's an isolated incident & the rest of the babies come out fine.

Well none of the eggs have been fertile yet, But he's hoping they hit the nest again. his most experienced pair is still yet to lay, but the hen is hanging out in the nesting box so i guess there is still hope. Crossing fingers.
I have found it's very hard to find Alexandrines. All the local places say they can't get them. Hoping this works out as i missed out last year by hoping a local shop would get one for me & decided to try the whole shipping thing & no luck, yet.
