That's heartbreaking, I'm so sorry.:( Make sure they search every nook and cranny, because I know birds that have been found in the darnedest places and smallest spots.

Can you go over and search, call for him? Make sure he's not hiding in some strange place.

Ugh! This just saddened my day. I had followed the saga of jellybean and felt so good you saved him. I'm so sorry he had such a sad demise. I feel bad for you too. So sorry

I would but they live 3 hours away and I have work and school. I have no time........
I was so happy to have saved him and have him in my life. I was pretty confident in having them have him for a while because they all really loved him. So I KNEW he'd get a lot of attention.
I'm saddened by the whole thing.
Sorry for the sad news guys.
Thank you for the support through everything.

So sorry about what happened. At least if you think he might have escaped they can put out flyers, post ads and contact rescue agencies and animal shelters.

No sign of Jellybean but our new neighbors just found a parakeet outside.
I still had some toys, food and an old cage from Jellybean, and let them have it to take care of the found bird and to make it as comfortable as possible. Good news is, the bird looks very healthy compared to what Jellybean looked like when I found him.
Sad that I lost Jellybean, but very happy I was able to use what was left for another bird in need :)
