I see a bowl of sunflower seeds & a peanut shell below.

Sunflower seeds should be fed in moderation perhaps only used as treats.
Peanuts can be dangerous as there are many cases in which they harbor a deadly mold.
Many people choose not to risk giving there birds peanuts.

Peanuts in shells and danger of Aspergillosis to Parrots

You might want to do some research on diet.
Good quality pellets/seed mix. fruits, veggies & grains...

I second what camelotshadow says about sunflower seeds & peanuts. I only give sunflower seeds as treats for training and I never give peanuts.

Hazel is very cute.
What else do you feed her in addition to the sunflowers & peanuts? Agree with @camelotshadow & @TWR I don't use sunflower seeds at all but they are OK in moderation. Shouldn't be the main source of food for our feathered friends.

Nice Hazel is eating from your hand. That's a great start.

Rio loves his fruit & he gets a piece or 2 daily. I usually add apple on to & next to a leaf of romaine.
He also gets a tangerine slice when they are in season. We are loving satsuma's right now.
Grape is a fav as well as pomegranate seed which makes a big mess.
He's not as big on veggies but will nosh on carrot, romaine, broccoli & parsley etc. You have to get creative with veggies.

I'd keep the sunflower seeds as special treats or rewards for doing something. Like training her to stand on a scale so you can keep track of her weight - if Hazel stands on it long enough for you to get her weight in grams, then she gets s sunflower seed. Being a gcc, once she's figured that out you might just find that she'll sit on the scale whenever she sees it just to try and get a treat.

And where are my manners, Hazel is a beautiful little girl. Congratulations on your new family member.

The sunflower seeds are in the bowl on her perch. I give her a seed mix up there to encourage her to get out of the cage, same I did with gary. The inside bowl is pellets and fresh fruit.

Good, she gets a bigger variety of mixed food and most birds are food motivated so she goes to her play stand tro have treats and learns it's a great place to hang out and play
