It's summer here and extremely hot where I live, so my window AC has to run almost constantly so that we don't heat to death. So of course the air is very dry and I've been looking into a low-cost humidifier to help add some moisture back into the air. I have found this one, but from what I've read, there are certain types of humidifiers that are not considered safe for budgies (i.e., ones with Teflon(?) coatings). I've found this one and was wondering if someone who knows more about these things could tell me if this would be safe to use around my birdo for the time being.

My little Komali is still a bit bummed out after losing his soulmate Teba to a tumor last month, so I don't want him to have to deal with any additional problems. I'm currently out $500 for an emergency vet visit, so I can't afford anything more expensive than this right now. But if anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them for when I'm able to get a better humidifier. I just want to make sure this one won't hurt him in the meantime. Also, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread; I wasn't quite sure where it would fit in.
