I noticed on the back of some parrot food is says Do Not refrigerate. WHY??? I've always kept my bird food in a zip-lock bag and in the fridge.

Wow - I googled it, but could not find an answer. I think I would try to email the company that says 'do not refrigerate' on the bags and see if they will give you an answer on that question!Yes, Elly.
I have saved a ton of those moisture thingys and use them when I do refrigerate the food so, moisture shouldn't be an issue with me.
I'm going to risk saying it is because of condensation. When you make dried pellets or any dry hard food cold then bring it into a warm moist atmosphere it will quickly absorb the moisture. Opening and closing a large froze bag will over time just get more moisture till it equalizes with the moisture content of the climate it is opened in.
