I hope she is ok, she has in the past dropped out of AA for a while then been back later on so hopefully she is just busy with other things.I messaged her a few months ago asking how her,Rio and Penny were but unfortunately I never got a reply.
There's an Amazon species that has a cool little crest like a HH.Yes I worked that out, I got all excited thinking there was more than one HH lol
I would so love to see one in real life. Their pictures always fascinate me same with vasa parrots. Here's a pic of two at the aquarium I couldn't believe it when I walked around the corner and saw them. My first ever Hawkies in person I must have stood there almost 45 mins in awe.
Was the parrot called Java or do you mean before that?Oh same! I remember we used to have a member who had a Vasa and they posted quite a bit until they just suddenly stopped posting.
Yes! That's the one.Was the parrot called Java or do you mean before that?

All good, no need to apologiseSorry. You posted while I was trying to upload a photo.
You win for the best answer. My unrealistic dream bird is one that picks up after themselves and knows to tone things down when I hold my finger up to my lips and gently, "shhh".
She does not post often anymore, but you could try living vicariously through @Somebirdie 's posts.Unfortunately my wife has vetoed both cassowaries and emus![]()
I used to have an Avian D&D character that was modeled after a lammergeierSomeone I met through a bird group had Hawkheads. I got to meet a couple and he offered me one, but I declined because their calls are a bit much for me. Very striking looking birds though!
If I could truly have any bird in the world, it would be a lammergeier. I think vultures are spectacular and so misunderstood.
