What is the freeze dry stuff how do you use it just defrost a portion?I forgot to thaw out any chop, so the birds got some of the dry food options I keep on hand.
Both got Bird Street Bistro Apple Berry as a base, with mixed in freeze dried chop from Texas Freeze Dried Naturals, small bird Unpellet from Phoenix Foraging Rolls, hemp seed, and spices mixed in.
Ripley also got soaked Psittacus pellets and some Green Chunks from Phoenix Foraging Rolls.

Freeze dried is a specific dehydrating method, so the pieces are more crunchy than hard like air dried. They also retain more of their natural color, taste, and nutrients. They are shelf stable for a very long time. What is the freeze dry stuff how do you use it just defrost a portion?
Freeze dried is one thing my two have never entertainedfreeze dried chop from Texas Freeze Dried Naturals,
It has to be very specific freeze dried here apparently Texas Naturals makes them super thin and shredded and that seems to go over okay (not as well as fresh but acceptable)Freeze dried is one thing my two have never entertained

Love it!! Cleavage for the win. My guys love the freeze-dried cranberries in the mix from Christine's Chop Shop, but I never thought about fresh ones. Do they eat them raw? We've been waiting for cranberry! All my flock love em

Mine too! All my birds though the years won't touch whole cranberries for some reason! Cut is fineYes! But they seem to prefer cut in half first
