She's gorgeous!!! Oh Id love to see an adorable Raccoon on a regular basis.Had another vistor today. Unfortunately she move too quickly for me to get a good picture. I'm pretty she's the same raccoon I see most of the time. There are alot around. But she has a walk and a couple physical features that makes me believe she the same one. Here's are a couple pictures. View attachment 446765 View attachment 446766

Ooh that Timber Rattlesnake so cool! I'd be positively giddy if I saw him in person! The Brown Widow not so much thoughA few of the critters I've encountered in the last week or so.
A 13 year cicada.

Wow! We discovered that we have a rather large brown snake hanging out somewhere in our back yard so I am trying to do what I can to move it on safely before my dopey dog finds it and ends up in a bad way (not too many dogs make it long enough to even get to the vets after a bite from a brown snake). She has a habit of way too closely investigating any unknown visitors to the yard which usually is not a problem unless she finds the huge bluetongue who has bitten her more than once for being too nosey lolA few of the critters I've encountered in the last week or so.

Our neighbor came and killed it with a hoe. I wanted to just scare it away (though I was worried about my dogs). I tried to convince him not to kill it, to no avail. One of his cats recently was bitten by one and died. They say you hardly ever saw them around people's homes (but be ever so careful in the woods) until they started a strip mine in the near vicinity that must have disturbed a large population because now they're seen quite frequently.Wow! He is a good looking spider I just wouldn't want to be that close. I'm not a big spider fan but I appreciate what they do.I thought he was gorgeous.
