Oh my gosh!!! I'd absolutely die of happiness if I saw any type of Deer but especially a Red Deer! They've always been a species I've adored since a young child. Have you ever read the book FireBringer by oh gosh I can't remember his first name but I believe its this hyphenated last name Clement Davies?I live quite close to the London Wetland Centre so have seen some pretty interesting wildlife!

I'm less knowledgeable about fish and insects. We do have several species of bees, including different species of bumblebee and mason bee, dragonflies, damelflies, hoverflies and wasps.
It's one of my all time favorite books I can't even tell you how many times I've read it over the last 20 something years it still stands up to this day. I think the Red Deer are absolutely the most majestic creatures and especially those big males with the most gorgeous racks It's just truly a sight to behold. Thank you so much for sharing these pics I'm very grateful to you. You've really made me smile tonightI'm afraid I haven't - looks interesting through!
Here are a couple of other photos that I thought you'd like. Picture quality isn't great because I was at a distance and zooming in.

I live in a small town on a lake, and surrounded by wetlands, fields and wooded areas. It is not unusual to see deer or fox walking down or across the streets in town. And the vultures roost on the water tower.
And I am sure that I am missing some species of birds and other critters.
The last 2x years I've found Bumblebee ground nests--- so fun to watch them go in and out!Everytime I go outside, I see the bees for a bit. It's very interesting to see them carry their pollen filled legs into the hive. I love having them![]()
Please share pics or interesting information you have of any wildlife that is normal for you to see where you live.
