Hello, first i'm sorry for my poor english, not my native language, my lovebird has been acting sick lately (for a month now), he is 5 years old blue personata and mostly seed diet (I'm trying to change but no luck), used to drink tap water but changed to purified because mom told me it could be salmonella, we went to see the avian vet 3 times but i'm beginning to doubt...
The symptoms are lethargy, he sleeps a lot during the day, head shaking several times, some times vomiting.
doesn't want to clean himself, he scratches a lot, falls from the perch some times and seems to be disoriented, his urates look yellow/gold and poops less than usual. He was 55 g in march, now weights 43 g.
He still drinks and eats but slowly and less. When he flies he crashes into things. The vet who saw him said he looked fine and his heart and breathing didn't sound different from normal, his cavities were ok too, for the moment I'm giving him enrofloxacin (since april 8), vitare vitamins (since march) and trihepat for liver (april 11). Should i keep doing this? Could it be neurological? The vet said she wasn't sure about making blood test because he is too small.
He is my emotional support animal, he can fly but never leaves my side, it pains me to see him like this, thanks in advance.
