If the foot is swollen and discolored best to try to get to the vet.
This is from the "Beauty of Birds" website. Not sure how current the info is.
Recommended Avian vets in the Philippines:
Philippines:

Dr. Nielsen Donato and Dr. Lester Louis Lopez - Vets In Practice
Dr. Oyie Sebastian Tel. 09209522645

Is he able to perch? You may need to lower perches and put towels in the bottom of the cage in case he falls.

I'd call a vet, no matter how far, as I'm certain many can give you emergency instructions that is better than any advice I could give.

Until then;
Gently feel along the break for any bumps, or anything out of the ordinary. Use the other leg as a guide to feel what should be there, and what shouldn't. if there is a bump/break you can feel, the leg is broken. You need to keep the bird as stable and immobile as possible. Put the lovebird in a small cage with only one or no perches, and keep him off the leg. This is urgent, as birds have a slightly lower pain response than we do, and they will keep trying to use a hurt appendage to the point of lameness in that limb. Make sure the lovebird is well fed and hydrated, and keep him as comfortable as possible. (There are ways to splint the bone, but I'm not an expert, and not comfortable giving that kind of advice, although it will ultimately have to be done).

If he leg is swollen and discolored, that's a very bad sign, and the limb may have to be amputated. Also watch out for the lovebird appearing listless, disinterested, and not eating.

* I'm in no means an avian specialist, just a beginning wildlife rehabilitator of small mammals. Everything here is from my own experience, from volunteering with an avian rehabilitator, and my wildlife textbooks. If you have any more questions, please ask, and I'll try to awnser them to the best of my ability, but you really need veterinary advice.

A less ideal alternative to calling a vet is to call a avian wildlife rehabilitator, as they also have experience with taking care of birds with broken birds or similar injuries. However, an avian veterinarian is the best way to go.

Ok first,, breathe,,,calm down, he will feel your anxiety...can he move the leg at all? If it moves, it may not be broken, if it hangs like a " wet noodle" then, it's broken. Can he perch? Is there a " pinch" reflex? Lightly pinch a toe,,if it moves, it's not broken, but injured. The purple is from bruising, is it hot? Hot usually means injury or sprain, is it cold? Cold usually means broken,,,touch the foot to your lips to determine hot or cold. This is the method we use at the wildlife rescue, also keep him on a soft towel with food and water available,,,no perches and no climbing. As another said, if you feel the leg, gently, you'll feel if something is amiss. Hope he's gonna be Ok.

I tried to put him inside the plastic cage with cloth, put some water and food and i observed every movements he's been doing. He cant walk right. He's not stepping his foot but if he tries to step it, his ankle is not in the right position. its facing on the right side. His legs was not actually well aligned in his ankle. When i tried to touch his toes, sometimes he's not reacting but when im touching his ankle, he's freaking out and i see he's hurting. He's not eating the way as before but when i put him back in his cage he started to eat again and i think he wants to stay with his girl friend. Do you think should i let him to stay with her friend? He's not eating when he's alone. :( I will try touch his foot again when he wake up and i will update you guys. I don't like to disturb his sleep tonight. i will find some nearest vet too. Thank you for your advices.

Glad you're taking the poor baby to a vet. Looks and sounds very bad to me. :( He definitely needs medication for the pain and to see what can be done with his foot/leg.

He's going to be fine.
Crank the heat up just a little so that he isn't panting, but so that it's warm. Birds use a lot of energy keeping themselves heated and he will heal slightly faster and will be more comfortable if he is warm.

Good luck!
