Ok, we ruled out giardia, allergies, psychological issues, and any kind of skin bacteria. She thinks it may be chlamydia. I bring her back on Monday at 8am for the test. She already gave me medicine for it, though. Of course, if one has it, she's going to safely assume that all the birds have it and they will all be treated.

Oh, poor Velvet... I'm so sorry, Julie!

I'm glad that you made plans to take your sweet lovie to the vet.

Some lovies are prone to self-mutilation but oftentimes they do pluck out of illness or discomfort.

I'm wishing her nothing but the best. Do keep us posted!
