We were standing in the backyard calling and calling, and then mum heard him call out and it came from the block of land next to us, so we walked over to the block of land and continued to call him, but he didn't call back again.. he was somewhere in one of the zillion tall trees, we couldn't see him, but mum heard him call out once. We kept calling him and 10 minutes later, I see him fly over to a tree in our backyard (you can't miss his long tail and his blue and white body lol), we wander back over to the backyard and we can see him, he is sitting in a big tall tree, chattering and eating leaves, having a blast! He sat there for ages, he knew we were standing right below him, he kept looking down, but he wanted to have his fun and wasn't ready to come down yet. I got a dish of seed and started shaking it in hope that he might be hungry, 2 minutes after he must have decided he needs a snack and he flew down onto my arm. I gave him lots of cuddles that he happily took and put him in his cage.
If I didn't get him back, I would have been extremely gutted, he is the most amazing bird and I would be devastated if I were to lose him for good, I don't know what I would do, it is not even imaginable! My heart sunk when he got out, I kept saying to my mum "he isn't going to come back, there is no chance" over and over again.. but I was so wrong, and I am over the moon to have him back now.
OMG, Renae! My heart stopped when I only just saw this thread!!!
