The oldest conure on A.A? Give the age of your conures !

I found it interesting that people who have one or multiple conures, to indicate their age.
I am curious to know how old is the oldest conure on Avian Avenue?
For example, when you type "green cheek conure life expectancy" on google, it says up to 30 years but I have never heard of a conure that old !
It would be nice to also specify the species of your conure(s) as all conures do not live the same age!
You can also post a picture of your little feathered friend(s)

Mango, female yellow-sided ggc: 2 years and five months old.
Litchi, male cinnamon ggc: almost 10 months old.

Taz - Male Split to Yellowside Greencheek turned 10 last March
I have asked several breeders and my vet what is the normal life expectancy of a Greencheek Conure is and they said 10 years. I hope mine last at least 30 years old so we can pass at the same time.

Going by what the old owners told me and we all know how reliable non bird people are

Nala is 5 years 8 months

and Simba is 8 years and 2 months old

I think Leslie has had her blue crowns for 20+ years. I knew someone with a mitred that is over 30 years old.

Yes Mercedez....we did get our two blue crowns Bonnie and Clyde a little over 20 years ago, probably closer to 21 or 22 now now...and at that time we did not know how old they are so they could be older than that. Within the next year or so we got our nanday Duster, so he is about 20 as well. Our other two conures, Tiki and Max were added to our flock a few years after that....Max (mitred) was about seven when we got him, which puts him in the 20+ range too Finally Tiki (blue crown) appeared to be an older bird when we found him and he has been with us about 17 or 18 years, so most likely he is in the 20+ age group too.

Noel, cherry head, age unknown but it wouldn't surprise me if he was in his mid to late 20's (guessing that he was at least 17-19 at age of passing)

Some are probably pretty old but hard to verify because of record keeping issues. Litchi has come so far look at that baby!The girls don't have 2 years between them.Anyone here block sigs; Jak is 14 months and Koi at 8.

My Blue Crown Conure, Cracker, is wild caught and 35+ yrs old. He still runs around and acts like he is a 2 yr old.

Funny, hubby and I were just looking this up yesterday. Unfortunately, it said that the 10 years comes from "owner neglect"...makes me sad. Dr. O says "about 20 for green cheeks but there just isn't enough data". I think 13 is the oldest I've seen for a cheekie. I have seen wild caught blue crowns up there in age. Come to think of it, most of the longest lived birds I think were/are wild caught. My oldest is Happy the gold cap at a little over 12. Although Giggie the greenie could be older...we have no data/history on her

I believe Indy is about 14 or 15 years old. Not sure and never well be sure. He has been in several homes but the last one I know for sure he was in for over 6 years.

I guess at this time, the oldest conure is Cracker (35+ years old)
It is so nice to see all those "old" conures, this means they are well cared for !
