Thanks! I'm so excited I almost refuse to admit I'm so close! Got a few hiccups I need to work out tomorrow, but it's so close

It really was quite difficult. I can't remember if I've mentioned it but I almost got a little female Slaty around the time I got Alinta, Mahlee and Moon. I hesitated too much cause I didn't think I was ready and missed the opportunity. I regret that a little, but I think I did need more time. I'm almost certain I won't be without some kind of Asiatic forever though, even if I just end up with a IRN

You did mention it I was same with posie so undecided when she was a baby but she’s ended up here anyway so hopefully you will get the bird your meant to have too

I'll be fair, they're mostly chickens and quail Chicken math, quail math... If I had a choice goose math would SO be a thing. Space and noise level says no though

Also I am still working on that drawing for you but at this rate I'm gonna give up cause I honestly am growing to detest drawing these conures and you just keep getting more, why of all the species do you have to have conures

And the flock continues to change But honestly I would be happy with a drawing of just Gizmo, Frankie (RIP), and Toto… and then space for me to put the little icons of the other birdies. Popcorn the tiel would be nice too hehe

Nothing exciting will be happening with them, for now And the most exciting thing that will happen, would be me finally getting around to learning how to dye/paint them

So. I have two confirmed females so far and I believe I know which is which. Thursday and Sam are my girls There's one who I think looks suspiciously like a boy, I've decided that one is Huckleberry. Thistle has given me no indications in either direction so I'm just waiting, but when compared to Huckleberry, she looks very girlish

Sam. She takes her nest very seriously and it's very cute and EXTREMELY uncomfortable looking

It's been far too long since I lived with geese to be able to sex them by eye anymore.
Nice looking little flock they are.

Interesting, I was unaware you can sex them like that. I reminds of cockatoos. The main reason I believe Echo to male is eye color. My understanding is it's not 100% accurate, decently so. Is it similar that?

I've never been able to get a clear answer with the geese, but many of the geese owners I've chatted with still mention looking for the subtle visual difference plus paying attention to behaviour. I'm mostly going off behaviour cause egg laying's an easy method
Interesting when it comes to cockatoos, that hasn't really helped me with Q. He's eyes lean male but catch him in the right amount of sun and he has a very noticeable iris
